Eric Nshimiye
Mr. Eric Nshimiye – President, Treasurer, and Founder of NFF
Mr. Eric Nshimiye is a Principal Engineer in the Global Engineering Department of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co at its headquarters in Akron , Ohio. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Nshimiye is the founder and president of the Ntibarwiga Family Foundation (NFF), a 501(C)(3) organization. The NFF mission is to provide group e-mentoring to the immigrant youth through the Ntibarwiga Mentoring Institute (NMI), provide academic scholarships to needy students and emergency financial support to needy families. He also serves as the NFF treasurer.
Mr. Nshimiye represents Goodyear on the Firestone Academy Advisory Board. One of Mr. Nshimiye’ s passions is to mentor younger people. In addition to mentor the immigrant youth through NMI, he is a volunteer mentor for the MentorStark organization through which he provides mentorship to the Jackson High School students attending the Jackson Academy of Global Studies (JAGS). For several years, he provided mentorship to the Akron Public High School students. At Goodyear, one of his favorite parts of the job is to mentor younger engineers to learn new skills and maximize their potential.
Mr. Nshimiye enjoys travelling the world. His career in the Global Engineering Department at Goodyear gives him plenty of opportunities to meet and form friendships around the world. Some of the countries that he visited include Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil, China, India, Thailand, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, and the Republic Democratic of Congo. He was born and raised in Rwanda and currently resides in the United States in the state of Ohio.
