Ntibarwiga Mentoring Institute (NMI)

Volunteer Mentor

Thank you for your interest in the Ntibarwiga Mentoring Institute (NMI)! We serve young people, ages 10-20, who become members of our mentoring institute.

Our mentoring focus is on Human Formation.  Our program for Human Formation cultivates the personal and emotional maturity of each youth and develops the human qualities which are necessary for them to be balanced and capable of thriving in American society.

Volunteer mentors in our program make a commitment to connecting with our members through groups. They also commit to sharing their personal journeys and experiences to help the NMI provide new experiences and additional connections for our members. Our mentors and members become part of a connected social network who walk alongside each other and work together to help everyone reach their full potential. As a mentor, you are not assigned to one specific member. You are offered ongoing opportunities to meet with multiple mentees.  You will have the ability to share your availability and the desired amount of commitment you wish to make during the screening interview process.
